About Me

For those that don’t know me I’ve lived and worked in the UK for the past few years now. I originally come from the South East of Ireland, from a traditional Irish family with two brothers, two sisters, an aunt Mary and an uncle John – as the cliche goes!

I’m lucky enough to work in fashion design after years of training and education. Third level education was, and still is a significant challenge in Ireland compared to the United Kingdom, with a lack of support and access for deaf students. Being deaf and not being able to communicate via speech shouldn’t be a barrier to entry in a modern Ireland, with a developed economy.

Since moving to the UK I’ve been lucky enough to create designs for ASOS, Boohoo, Nasty Gal, Warehouse and more. I also featured on the RTE TV show “London Calling”, a documentaty focusing on Irish citizens like myself who also found the UK more supportive when it comes to developing your career support. You can watch on RTE player, or see a snippet below.

When I’m not working cycling is my other love, along with my husky Jasper. I’ve made a great network in the UK and I like to get home to Ireland as often as I can.

I’m competed in long distance cycling challenges before and I’m really excited to be planning and organizing this one. It’s given me a real boost and kept my mind busy during unusual times.

So that’s me in a few sentences, if there’s anything else you’d like to know get in touch.

"Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see"
