Cycle Route

I’ll be starting my journey at the peace bridge in Derry/Londonderry and following the Wild Atlantic way south from beautiful Donegal. From there I’ll continue south past the Benbulben mountains and the rugged Mayo countryside.

I hope to make plenty of pit stops along the route to enjoy some of the finest country roads in all of Europe, luckily enough right on our doorsteps here in Ireland.

The full Wild Atlantic way comprises over 2,500 kilometres in total although I’ll be skipping some sections while cycling a total route of at least 1,500 Kilometres.

While I’ll be publishing more details of my full route and schedule closer to the time you can learn more about the Wild Atlantic Way on the Discover Ireland website.

I’ve already taken some inspiration from the amazing Rachel Nolan, who has completed the journey multiple times, while also taking others on such tours. She’s even been kind enough to help me out with my route planning and advice. You’ll find out more about Rachel at https://rachelsirishadventures.com.
